Boy do I wish I'd paid attention in French classes!

Wow, what a great spot! We're staying with friends outside of Paris and have already learned how to get around on the train system; from the airport to here after arrival and into central Paris to see the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, L'Arc de Triomphe yesterday. Today is another journey in to see Notre Dame, Sacre Cour, Montemarte and whatever else the day brings! The weather has been unseasonably cool so we're bundled up a bit! Our hosts the McNaughtons have been most accomodating, great meals, company, and French wine to say the least; especially given the fact we have descended (read invaded) upon them with our small army of six people! We'll never be able to thank them enough for making our first stop so warm and inviting. Tomorrow is expected to bring a visit to The Palace of Versailles where King Louis 14 and Marie Antoinette resided prior to the beginning of the French Revolution.
So far everyone is healthy and we've passed through jet lag unscathed, actually sleeping the night through last night. We're exactly 8 hours ahead of Calgary time (DST) currently.
Emails always welcome from our friends and family and we'll try to respong in a timely manner if possible to jgunn@tangoenergy.com. Au'revoir ... John
